Acceptable Use Policy

This policy covers both Bulko products: the SMTP relay (SMTP Access) and the Campaign Platform. It explains what you can send, what you can't, and what happens when the rules are broken.

What you can send

• Transactional and system email: password resets, confirmations, receipts, notifications and alerts from apps, CRMs, scripts and CI/CD.
• Newsletters and marketing to people who opted in.
• B2B cold outreach to business addresses, following the rules below.

Rules for cold outreach

• Email business addresses of people whose work your offer is genuinely relevant to. Don't email personal addresses (gmail.com and similar) without consent.
• Use your real sender name, company and a way to contact you. Subject lines must not be misleading.
• Give an easy way to opt out: an unsubscribe link (Bulko adds it to campaigns automatically) or a "reply STOP" line in plain-text emails. Honor opt-outs right away.
• Verify lists before sending. Keep bounces under 5% and spam complaints under 0.3% (the threshold in Gmail and Yahoo sender requirements).
• Follow the law where your recipients are: CAN-SPAM (US), GDPR and ePrivacy (EU), PECR (UK), CASL (Canada). In some countries, such as Germany, even B2B email needs prior consent. Choosing the legal basis is the sender's responsibility.

Prohibited

• Phishing, collecting passwords or payment details, malware or malicious links, impersonating other companies or people.
• Fraud: fake invoices and payment or remittance requests, "you've won" messages, investment and crypto schemes.
• Purchased, rented or third-party lists; personal addresses collected without consent.
• Illegal goods and services, adult content, unlicensed gambling, prescription drugs, weapons, threats, harassment, hate speech.
• Hiding the sender: forged headers, or a From domain you don't control.
• Filter evasion: hiding link destinations behind shorteners, scrambling text to get past spam filters, resending to unsubscribed or bounced addresses.
• Reselling or sharing access with third parties without Bulko's permission.

SMTP relay technical rules

• Default limit: 2,000 emails per day per SMTP account. Need more? Email [email protected].
• Use From domains you control. For the best deliverability, verify your domain under Sending Domains (DKIM and return-path).
• Every message passes an AI content filter. Messages with signs of phishing, malware, brand impersonation or fraud are rejected with 554 5.7.1 and never delivered.

Enforcement

We monitor bounces, complaints and blocklists. When recipients or our infrastructure are at risk, Bulko may block individual messages, pause sending or suspend the account. Accounts used for phishing, malware or fraud are closed immediately and unused volume is not refunded. Report abuse to [email protected].
